Seeing Green And Last Minute Vacation Ideas

It is said that green is good for eyesight and improving your vision. There is that soothing feeling when you enjoy the scenery of green trees and leaves. There is that relaxation of the eyes and the soul when you turn your eyes on the creative nature.

Somehow it also does the effect of slowing you down from a running rat race to a walking pace and stroll along the park or garden or beach. Till you can feel and hear the heartbeat and join in the counting. By then you can sit and be still and enjoy even more.

By now you can experience the invisible. The cooling wind and beach breeze. The coolness on your face. You can fascinate over the swaying branches and leaves of palm or coconut trees. You can catch the sight of rare flights of birds or the hard work of sand castle builders or the sweeping sound of the lapping waves on the coastal beach.

As you stroll along you may gain insight to your problem which you initially set aside to go for the walk. As you ponder over the happenings at the beach or park, they seem to shed some light to the darkening happenings back home or office. At the end of the little short excursion, you may discover or receive great big ideas for the issues you had.

How much more good and gain and better still to venture out into your last minute vacation plan and source out the destination you had wanted to go all along but kept procrastinating? Now is the best time and moment to do it to gain even more insights and ideas and innovations for the long term.

All these started when you took time to see green. All these can take its course as you make time - decisive time - to go for that walk; to go for that long awaited and deserving last minute vacation and reach for that destination location while you can now. If you don't MAKE TIME, you live life LIKE A MIME.

Sky Park From A Distance

Viewing from the top has a different feel with viewing from the bottom. A close up view from a helicopter you could enjoy the sights and features of the Sky Park.

But a view from the distance side we could only see somewhat like a long boat seated on a display model holder. The hustle and bustle around you will not hear and feel as compared to the top view.

How true of people of kings and management who could not identify with and understand the weight and woes of peasants who work at the bottom. Just a thought. It is also true that those at the below will have a hard time comprehending those at the top.

Walk The Park Watch The Green

Life is usually filled with busyness until one can be overwhelmed and burnt out. Taking time to walk away from the stress and regain the equilibrium is one activity to do.

Walking the park is one great way to glance away from the stress of day to enjoy the view of the scenery. Taking a stroll along the park and ending at the jetty can help to relieve the strain generated. This helps to regain your energy to face the storm once more.

Enjoy the breeze of the wind and the smell of the sea will bring us back to the reality of life and the mystery of death, the shortness and fragility of living on planet Earth.

Logos Hope Valletta

Logos Hope, the largest floating book fair ship was in Singapore in Dec 2011. Docked next to Vivocity Harboufront and during the year end festivity of Christmas and New Year, it was a sure attraction for both locals and visitors to Singapore.

Welcoming you is one of the crew members or volunteers serving the ship's purpose of bringing knowledge, help and hope to the countries God sends them to. Ascending the stairs, you will be warmly welcome on board by another crew member to also watch out for safety and directed to the Book Fair.

With a huge array of books ranging from children to adults, from educational topics like sports and music to spiritual areas like How to Know God personally and other books.

After the book fair, you will be given a chance to follow a trail of events of the prodigal son and his father. At the end of the walk, you can relax at the ship's ambient cafe. The selection of items on the menu will attract you to enjoy. We chose waffle, cookie, ice cream and coffee.

For those who would like to have a tour of the Logos ship, you could sign up at the booth near the entrance. Adults $10 and kids 4-12 at $5. It is a worthwhile tour as you will be guided by an existing crew or ex-crew member who will share their stories and experiences being on board the ship and reaching out to the people of other countries.

Throughout your excursion, you can also snap some photos for memory and who knows, you may be led to come on board for a short term mission exposure on the largest floating book fair, the Logos Hope.

Auntie Kim's Korean Restaurant

Located on 265 Upper Thomson Road, Singapore, Auntie Kim's Korean Restaurant is an excellent place for almost authentic Korean cuisine. The food and beverage is fantastic and a good range of selection. The place had a fairly neat decorations that gave out a required ambience for a meal together.

One slight discomfort may be the tables were arranged rather close together. But on the positive note, it smelt of barbecue meat once you are in the restaurant and that makes you hungry already.

The service were also excellent as the staff were fast to attend to your needs like refilling the side dishes, your rice tea cups and to your orders.

To me, it was a great time and place for a meal for lunch on your own and even as a family. Two thumbs up.

Dishes I ordered

Doiji Bulkogi - thin slices of pork marinated in special sauce

Yeongyang Kalbi-tang - clear beef soup with chestnut ginko nut

Dduk Man Du Gook - Korean Dumpling Soup with sliced cake

Hae Mool Jeon - Korean pancake mixed with vegetable and seafood
